If you are running out of ideas, don’t worry: here you can find some advice on “parent and child activities” to make your Halloween celebrations really special

It will soon be 31st October, the spookiest day of the year: Halloween. On the night between the 31st October and the 1st November, both adults and children go from house to house trick-or-treating, dressed up as scary creatures and monsters. Householders only have one option if they don’t want to fall victim to their tricks and that’s to give out sweets to mischievous visitors.

Sweets, happiness and fun are the watchwords of the day for this scary celebration that’s perfect for enjoying some unforgettable moments with your little one.

If you are running out of ideas, don’t worry: here you can find some advice on “parent and child activities” to make your Halloween celebrations really special:

  • As a first thing, choose a Halloween costume: zombies, witches, ghosts, skeletons, characters from horror films and lots more besides. You can decide whether to make your costume with what you have at home or buy one from the shops. Don’t forget the makeup to go with the costume! However, you should remember that a youngster’s skin is very delicate, so it’s important to be careful when choosing the products and opt preferably for hypoallergenic and organic ones.

  •  Let your imagination roam free and help your child to prepare some Halloween decorations. Little ghosts made of gauze or paper that can be hung around the house on a thread of cotton are a must-have. Bats are another essential decoration, made out of black card, you can glue big moving eyes on them, or you can cut pumpkin shapes out of coloured card.

  • Prepare some delicious sweets together. Here, too, there’s a wide choice, but the favourites are undoubtedly biscuits shaped like magic wands or pumpkins, chocolate spiders, marshmallow ghosts … You can find lots of recipes to follow on the web!

  • With your little one, you can make the real star of Halloween: a jack-o’-lantern with a candle inside. Just remove the seeds and the flesh from a pumpkin, draw the eyes, nose and mouth on the skin and use a knife to cut out the features! And there you have it!

There are plenty of activities for you to do; choose the ones you like the most and make this celebration unique and unforgettable.

Happy Halloween to everyone!
